Reporting Traffic Signal Malfunctions

To report a malfunctioning traffic signal in Portland, Oregon, please call the dispatch hotline at 503-823-1700 or email PDXroads@portlandoregon.gov

Many of us have noticed the traffic (pedestrian!) signal "time change" at SE 60th and Salmon, which seems to have occurred since the latest road repairs (for which we are grateful).

The signal now takes 40+ seconds to change to walk (or drive, for westbound Salmon Street traffic), which is not good since it used to take 15-20 seconds so now drivers are inching into the roadway or walking out into the roadway since the signal seems to be malfunctioning.

It is not a non-functioning signal, but it is a malfunctioning one and we can easily report these to the City. (I did so today.)

If you notice other non (these may be emergencies) or mal (non emergencies, like the 60th and Salmon one) functioning, here's what you do:

The very helpful human operator took the information. I asked if we could use PDX Reporter and she said no since that was primarily for homeless and related issue reporting, but that there is a PDX Roads reporting service. (I don't know if there is a PDX Roads app.)
